Flood risk is top of mind for many municipalities and residents within those communities because of severe storm events in recent years.
Texas suffered more flood-related fatalities in 2017 than any other state, by far, according to a National Weather Service report. Floods can strike at any time, and more work is being done to identify the flood-prone areas that exist within our communities, so we can incorporate mitigation efforts, make neighborhoods safer and reduce the loss of life.
